Cocktails and Bourbon on the Patio
Paper Plane, Spiritless Mocktail, and Smoked Old Fashioned with Blue Note Bourbon
The weather was amazing so I decided to set up the camera and vlog one of our patio days. Chris indulged in a a couple cocktails I put together while I enjoyed a mocktail. I started the patio day off by making a Paper Plane cocktail, a harmonious blend of bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and lemon juice. The zesty flavors create a well-balanced drink that is sure to please your palate.
Next up, I selected a pour of John J Bowman Single Barrel for Chris. This single barrel expression offers a unique tasting experience with its rich and full-bodied profile. Orange, creamsicle on the nose with a spicy but sweet flavor on the palate.
For those looking to enjoy a non-alcoholic option that is just as exciting, I poured one of my favorites, Spiritless NA Old Fashioned over ice. Perfect for those who prefer a lighter option or simply want to join in the fun without the buzz.
And now, something experimental - a Smoked Old Fashioned made with Blue Note Bourbon. This classic cocktail gets a smoky twist with the use of wood chips. Chad and Sarah from It’s Bourbon Night mentioned this bottle may be a good one for a smoked old fashion, so I wanted to cap the night off with this cocktail.
Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail, a refreshing NA cocktail, or a sophisticated bourbon pour, our patio evening was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a variety of flavors. Cheers to good company and great drinks! 🥃🍹
Remember, whiskey is to be enjoyed responsibly and in moderation. Take your time, sip slowly, and revel in the moment as you unlock the secrets hidden within each pour.
