I’m Nakia! Originally from the small town of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Computer Science in 2012.

The Bourbon

Curiously, I adore bourbon despite never taking a sip. The oak barrels, the caramel notes that I hear in majority tastings —these fascinations led me to explore its history more and more. I’ve wandered through distilleries, capturing the essence of each barrel, and the stories etched into the wood. Perhaps it’s the magic of whiskey that draws me—the transformation from grain to glass, or could it be the amazing people in this community? Maybe it’s a combination of it all!

If you haven’t caught on yet, I’m just a girl who doesn’t drink, but loves hunting and researching all things whiskey for her husband to enjoy…it all started with an anniversary gift!
